End graft to progress: US to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has to pull the plug on rampant corruption it wants to see itself on the road to prosperity, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday.

“Jobbery of all kinds must be throttled and the ruling regime live up to masses’ expectations by keeping its promises”, said she during a joint press briefing with Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.

She added that US has, in the recent years, invested billions of dollars on Pakistan.

Reforms are a need of the hour to deliver what the Pakistani people deserve, said Clinton adding US will stand by all the Pakistanis to make sure it comes to pass.
