LAHORE: Punjab Governor Lateef Khosa said Saturday he was focusing to ask Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take vote of confidence from Punjab Assembly, Geo News reported.

Talking to media in the award distribution ceremony in Lahore Gymkhana, Governor said that Shahbaz Sharif is not a member of Punjab Assembly constitutionally. Khosa said that he took oath to uphold constitution, adding that he thought Shahbaz Sharif was not a member of both the seats.

He said “case is pending in Supreme Court over incompetence of Shahbaz Sharif and we are looking at the court in this regard.”

Punjab Governor said that he was seriously thinking that Chief Minister didn’t even have simple majority and might be asked to take vote of confidence from the assembly. However no decision has been made in this regard, he added.
