Key accused of Shershah market carnage killed

KARACHI: An alleged Lyari gang warrior and a key accused of Shershah market carnage among two people were gunned down while another sustained injuries in Chakra Goth area of Korangi, Geo News reported.

According to the details, an alleged Lyari gang warrior has been identified as Abdul Hameed Baloch alias Mullah Raju.

Meanwhile, police and rangers jointly carried out search operation in Chakra Goth and its adjoining areas, apprehending 53 suspects.

According to the police, unidentified armed men opened fire at the car of CID sub-inspector, killing two people while injuring car driver.

SSP East Javed Oadho said that initial interrogation hinted the incident was of targeted killing, while SSP Korangi said a 12-year old child Ali Raza and Abdul Hameed Baloch alias Mullah Raju were killed in the incident.

Police said that Mullah Raju was an indicted key accused in Shershah scrap market carnage case.
