ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has established a commission to probe the wrongdoings in Nandi Pur (450 MW) and Checho Ki Mallian (525 MW) rental power projects (RPPs), Geo News reported.
The Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry remarked that no trust worthy anti-corruption institution left in the country. A three-member bench heard the RPP fraud case.
The court appointed former Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery to head the commission. The body is tasked with the responsibility to look into the affairs of both the projects and submit report within four weeks.
