Turkey’s development example for developing nations: Nawaz

LAHORE: PML-N president Nawaz Sharif met former Turkish president Suleyman Demirel in Ankara and discussed matters pertaining to bilateral relations, economic development and elimination of terrorism.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, Nawaz Sharif said that social and economic development by Turkey was a worthwhile example for the developing countries to join the ranks of the developed countries.

He said that Turkey and Pakistan were bound together in strong ties of friendship, and that both countries had shared each others joys and sorrows. He said that Turkey had always helped Pakistan in the hour of need. Demirel referred to close fraternal ties with Pakistan and also appreciated the economic policies of Nawaz Sharif.
