UAF goat show tomorrow

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) will open three-day 'National Goat Show' in which competitions of beauty, milk and body weight of goats will be held from tomorrow (Saturday, Oct 29).

The show will work as a platform to boost the entrepreneurial skills among the farmers about new breeds, modern trends and techniques including international trends.

First of all the goat show will be inaugurated at 9am on Saturday at Tent Pegging Ground, Jail Road, UAF while the flock beauty competition, individual beauty contest and milk competition will be held at 10:30am, 2:30pm and 6pm, respectively.

On October 30, milk competition will start at 6:00 am, cavalcade at 9:30am, body weight competition at 10:30am, individual beauty competition at 2:30pm while the milk competition at 6pm.

On October 31, cavalcade will be held at 9:30am while the prize distribution ceremony will be held at 10:30am.

The UAF has a tradition of organizing such shows to promote community-building activities and create awareness among the livestock farmers about increasing the production by adopting new techniques and trade corridor. (APP)
