Reduced fares for CNG-minibuses demanded

KARACHI:President Shabab Milli Karachi Saifuddin has demanded of the government on Saturday to reduce the bus fares of minibuses and so-called ‘coaches’ running on CNG. Transporters are utilizing CNG, but charging bus fares on basis of diesel usage which is illogical, illegal and unacceptable.

He said that most of the public transport nowadays in Karachi has been converted to CNG; however, the bus fares are based on old diesel use formula which is clear injustice to the commuters of metropolis.

Saifuddin said that millions of people each day travel by buses therefore the fare of CNG buses and minibuses must be immediately reduced so that some relief can be given to commuters.-PPI
