RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Rawalpindi issued a comprehensive traffic plan, especially formulated for Eid-ul-Adha, here on Friday, under which 1200 traffic wardens would be deployed.
Particularly, the wardens will be deployed at Eid congregations and religious places so that people could offer their prayers with peace of mind.
Talking to APP, Senior Officer Traffic Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said
that over 1200 traffic wardens would perform their duties during eid
days saying that the holidays of the wardens have been cancelled.
He said that traffic wardens would play their effective role to control
the traffic as well as facilitate the motorists.
Due to construction work of flyover at Benazir Bhutto Road (Murree
Road) a traffic plan has already been issued to help the commuters.
Under the traffic plan more than 115 traffic wardens would perform their duties to ensure the smooth traffic flow particularly in the surrounding area of the project.
The building work on the project would be completed within three
months period for which all necessary arrangements regarding regular
flow of traffic have been made by the City Traffic Police aimed at
facilitating the citizens mainly motorists.
In order to mitigate the sufferings of general public particularly
during the period of construction work of the project and to avoid
traffic mess on Benazir Bhutto Road (Murree Road) alternative routes
would be provided to minimize the traffic load on the busiest road of
