KARACHI: A fire that gutted nearly 35 CM Market shops in Soldier Bazaar area of Karachi finally surrendered to the daring firefighters before it could do more damage, Geo News reported.

Reports have it that fire broke out at one of the shops in Soldier Bazaar No.3 CM Market and went on a blazing rampage thereafter.

Initially three fire tenders rushed to the scene but were outpowered by the flaming beast forcing firemen to call in two more.

It took them two tough hours to put the fire out.

Chief Fire Officer told media that thirteen watertankers/bowsers took part in the fire extinguishing operation, whereas 35-40 shops turned to ashes by the time fire came under control.
