QUETTA: Deputy Inspector General Operations Quetta Police Hamid Shakil has sought the cooperation of people to curb the menace of kidnapping for ransom.

Shakil said that the police had made several breakthroughs by busting a couple of gangs involved in kidnapping for ransom during the last few months.

He appreciated the civilian who called the police in time after the incident of kidnapping, quoting an example of a seized surgeon Dr. Ghulam Rasool who was recovered due to an immediate response by his relatives. (APP)
