Kris Jenner opens up about her tax crisis at 35: ‘I couldn’t pay my own bills’

Kris Jenner recently sat down for a candid chat on finances and admitted at one point she had ‘no clue’ what she was doing as a newly divorced 35-year-old.

The momager got candid about her former financial crisis during an interview with WSJ magazine and was quoted saying, "One day, my friend Shelli Azoff said to me when I was going through my divorce [from Robert], 'How much is your gardener?' And I said, 'I don't know.' And she said, 'You don't know?'"

"I was embarrassed that I didn't know. I woke up one day to responsibilities that I hadn't had the day before. And I needed to figure it out.”

For those unversed, her tax and money woes began after the momager divorced her husband back in March of 1991 at the age of 35 and suddenly became responsible for her own financial interests.

"I'm a quick study and I knew I had to get it together. And I felt such an enormous sense of accomplishment to be able to figure it all out and pay my own bills and make my own money and do my own taxes."
