Polio team attacked in Karachi, policeman killed

KARACHI: A policeman deployed as part of security for the anti-polio team was shot and killed in the Orangi Town area on Monday.

Officials have called for a three-day ban on pillion riding in the city in order for the anti-polio campaign to continue.

Violence has returned to the metropolis with at least seven people including two policemen killed overnight.
