KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim AliShah, on Saturday said that Sindh is a land of the Sufis who preached Islam and guided the people to the path of righteousness.
He expressed these views in the concluding ceremony of the 1,281th annual Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi.
Qaim Ali Shah also prayed for the peace, progress and prosperityof the country and the well-being of the people.
The Chief Minister also distributed clothes among the needy andpoor women.
On the occasion he laid wreath at the Mazar and also offered `Fateha'.
Provincial Minister Auqaf, Dr. Rafiq Bhanbham presented Sindhicap and Ajrak to Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
He said that the people should follow the message of these Sufisand work for the betterment of the society.
Chief Administrator Auquaf Sindh, Syed Medhi Shah, briefed theChief Minister about arrangements for the visitors to the mazar ofHazrat Abdullah Shah as well as construction work at the mazar.
Political Coordinator of the Chief Minister sindh, Siddiq AbuBhai, Special Assistant, Waqar Medhi, Aajiz Dhamra, CommissionerKarachi, Roshan Ali Shaikh, were also present on the occasion. (APP)
