Pre-entry test at University of Sindh

HYDERABAD: A total of 11,959 candidates from different parts of Sindh on Saturday appeared in pre-entry test conducted at Allama I.I Kazi Campus of University of Sindh Jamshoro for admissions in all disciplines of Bachelors Degree Programme in the University of Sindh for academic session 2012.

Among 11,959 candidates, 2,005 female candidates also appeared in the test for admissions in 54 disciplines.

The pre-entry test was conducted in disciplined atmosphere at 216 examination blocks at the Faculty of Arts, Institute of EnglishLanguage and Literature and Department of Mass Communication buildings located at Allama I.I. Kazi Campus Jamshoro.

The university management adopted strict security measures while transport facility was also provided to participating candidates from Hyderabad to Jamshoro Campus.

All 216 examinations blocks were connected with a centralized sound system control rooms from where the instructions were communicated for guidance of candidates in Sindhi Urdu and English languages.

Seating arrangements were also made for the parents of the candidates at Fatima Jinnah Gymnasium.

The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Mughal along with other officers also visited the examinations blocks and reviewed the arrangements made for pre-entry test. He was accompanied by pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Parveen Shah, Deans of the Faculties Dr. Muhammad Tahir Rajput, Dr. Noor Afroz Khowaja, Dr.Abdullah Dayo, Dr. Sannaullah Bhutto, Dr. Parveen Munshi, Prof. BashirAhmed Shaikh, Dr. Noor Muhammad Jamali, Registrar Akhtar Ahmed Memon,Advisor Planning and Development Dr. Muhammad Hussain Sheikh.

Meanwhile, pre entry test for admissions to Bachelors degreeprogram in various disciplines at Sindh University campus Badin, Sindh university campus Mirpurkhas and Sindh University Campus Dadu was also conducted on Saturday at the premises of the respective campuses.

The Pro Vice Chancellors of the concerned campuses Dr. Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Dr. Imdad Ali Ismaili and Dr. Anwar Ali Shah supervised the test arrangements.

A total of 211 candidates appeared at Badin Campus while 280at Mirpurkhas and 73 at Dadu Campus. (APP)
