Graduating students of MCS receive degrees at 20th convocation

RAWALPINDI: Graduating students of Military College of Signals (MCS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) received degrees at the 20th undergraduate convocation held today.

President's Gold Medals were awarded to NUST Cadet Hassan BinTila course TE 44 and NUST Cadet Samia Ahmed course BESE-13.

Chief of Army Staff's Gold Medals were received by Capt Abdullah Buzdar course TE-44 and cadet Muhammad Maqsood TCC-19 and NUST Cadet Rameez Lehman BESE-13 were awarded Rector's Gold Medal for their outstanding performance in degree projects. Rector NUST, Lieutenant General (retd) Muhammad Asghar waschief guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Asghar appreciated the contribution of NUST constituent institutions in advancing the august mission of providing purposeful and quality scientific education to the youth of the country with utter dedication. Appreciating the achievements of the University, he said that the farsighted vision of NUST has given a new direction to scientific education and research in the country. He paid rich tributes to the members who rendered their services to produce engineers, IT experts and managers of higher professional standard capable of meeting the challenges of modern world.

Addressing the graduates, Lieutenant General. Asghar (retd) said that it is a special and very exciting day for the graduating students as they step into the vast world of science and technologya s professional engineers. From now on with a new zeal curiositycoupled with ingenuity is going to push them to the frontiers of knowledge.

The talented students who excelled in their respective disciplines were awarded medals on the occasion.
