Fishermen rally on World Fishermen day

HYDERABAD: Hundreds of fishermen enthusiastically participated in a rally taken out from Old campus to Hyderabad Press Club to celebrate the World Fishermen Day here on Monday.

In Hyderabad, hundreds of men, women and children carrying nets, fish and models of boats danced to local songs during a colorful rally from different parts of the city. The Hyderabad Fisher folk Forum (HFF), organization, organized the rally.

Addressing a rally Senior Vice president of the Pakistan Fisher Forum Gulam Mustafa Mirani said that to abolish a contract system in fishing businesses and protect the rights of fishermen living in inland water bodies of the province.

While, the People connected with fishing enjoy this day by dancing, they demanded that all the loans of Pakistan should be cleared and that the government should make dams so fisherman can increase production. (APP)
