Former Pakistan pacer Umar Gul turns 37 today.

The pacer had worn the green in 47 Test matches, 130 ODIs and 60 T20s for Pakistan and has taken an impressive 427 wickets across all these formats.

The right-arm pacer, nicknamed as the "Gulldozer" for his toe-crushing yorkers, was also part of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 T20 World Cup in England under the captaincy of Younis Khan.

Gul had played his last game as a professional cricketer in October of last year, marking the end of an era which saw him spearhead Pakistan cricket team's pace attack and bamboozle batsmen around the world with his fast-paced deliveries and accurate line and length.

The bowler retired after his side, Balochistan, was eliminated from the ongoing National T20 Cup by Southern Punjab.

To mark his birthday, the ICC shared a video of the Gulldozer's lethal spell against New Zealand from the 2009 World Cup.

In the match, Gul had become the first bowler in the world to take five wickets in a T20 game, after notching five scalps in three overs.

Fans, till this day, look back fondly on Gul's remarkable spell during the ICC 2009 World Cup, which Pakistan went on to win.
