KARACHI: Armed robbers on Thursday robbed a bank in Soldier Bazaar area and escaped from the scene with Rs4.4 million, Geo News reported.

According to police, seven armed men entered a private bank situated in Soldier Bazaar and robbed Rs4.4 million. One of the robbers was in security guard uniform and before fleeing from the scene, the robbers took the camera footage with them. The entire crime was conducted in less than five minutes, police told.

The culprits also snatched valuables from the customers present in the bank at the time of robbery.

Police has issued sketches of the robbers who are also involved in six other bank robberies out of 15.

According to SSP-SIU Raja Umer Khitab, the robbers belong to Parachinar and Kohat areas and use a Suzuki vehicle in robberies.
