HYDERABAD: The district administration Hyderabad in collaboration with Pakistan Army, Rangers and Police has prepared a comprehensive contingency plan to ensure law and order and vigilance on the routes of mourning processions in the district during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
According to the plan, over 3500 policemen and 500 Rangers along with two armoured personnel carriers would be deployed on the routes of mourning processions while these routes will also be monitored strictly through closed circuit cameras.
The decisions to this effect were unfolded at a meeting presided over by Sindh Minister for Fisheries Zahid Ali Bhurgari here on last Friday evening.
MPA Waseem Hussain, MPA Akram Adil, MPA Suhail Yousuf, MPA Farheen Mughal PPP leaders Amanullah Sial, Abdul Jabbar Khan, Mir Fateh Talpur, Ali Muhammad Sehto, Iqbal Soomro, Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali Memon, Senior Superintendent of Police Syed Asad Raza Shah and religious leaders and ulema of different sects attended the meeting.
