Police seize 100kg hashish

PESHAWAR: Chamkani Police on Saturday claimed to have foiled narcotics smuggling bid and arrested a smuggler from GT Road.

According to police, working on a tip-off that big amount of narcotics was to be smuggled to Punjab from tribal areas, police erected barricades at GT Road to upset the attempt.

During checking, police signaled to stop a suspected car bearing number plate LEB-5811 and upon detailed search recovered 100 kg hashish from its secret cavities.

Police arrested the smuggler identified as Safiullah and were further investigating him. (APP)
