Seminar on women

FAISALABAD: The government should introduce laws for the elimination of violence on women and ensure implementation on existing laws for protection of women.

This was demanded by speakers of a seminar on "Preventions of Violence against Women: Role of People" organized by Arooj-e-Mariam Catholic Church on the occasion of International Day for Elimination of Violence on women on Saturday.

Father Nisar Barkat, Director National Commission for Justice and Peace , Father Samuel George, Sister Angelina, Shagufta Advocate, Shazia George and Aqsa Kanwal were among the speakers of the seminar held at Centre for Peace and Harmony in which over 100 people from different walks of life participated.
