LHC admits petition to put Haqqani on ECL

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has admitted for hearing the petition making plea for putting former Pakistan ambassador in US, Hussain Haqqani’s name on the ECL (Exit Control List), Geo News reported.

Iqbal Jaffery advocate in his petition filed in LHC prayed for putting Haqqani on the ECL, as Memo scandal enquiry was underway and he could runaway from the country like the US citizen Raymond Davis.

The Court admitting the petition for hearing has called for a reply from the federal government within three weeks.
