PESHAWAR: PML-Q Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday staged a protest rally to strongly condemn NATO forces strike in Mohmand Agency in which 24 Pakistani troops were martyred and several others injured and supported the decisions of defence committee of the cabinet (DCC).
The rally was staged on the directives of the provincial president PML-Q, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam.
The parliamentary leader of the party in the provincial assembly, Nighat Yasmin Orakzai led the rally that was started from Deans Trade Centre and marched till Peshawar Press Club (PPC).
The participants chanted slogans against the NATO's strike. Addressing the protest rally, Nighat Orakzai MPA strongly condemned the attack of NATO helicopters on security check posts in Mohmand Agency and termed it an assault on Pakistan sovereignty and violation of international laws.
She said the whole nation was standing behind Pakistan army therefore, the government should take measures for stoppage of such incidents and supply line should be kept closed till learning a lesson to NATO.
She said that the attack of NATO forces on Pakistani post and loss of 24 military personnel is not a simple incident and it should be given a tit for tat response so that no could dare taking any step that is detrimental to national integrity and independence.
Earlier, Intikhab Khan Chamkani, provincial president, MSF, Munsif Khan Tareen, president PML-Q- Youth Wing, Rahamdil Nawaz, Raees Khan, Bashir Khan and Haji Sifat in their addresses termed the attack an open aggression on the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.
They said such attacks would not be tolerated further.
