ISLAMABAD: Since the fuel gas supply is getting further complex situation in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, residents of Airport Housing Society are in much difficulty as no gas is available throughout the day.
Women residents from VIP Sector and Airport Society gathered this morning and marched to the administration office of the society and registered their protest.
They said they have talked to the authorities as well as to the local administration but none of them has even visited the area.
Talking to APP, women from the area appealed the high ups to take the notice of the mis-management by the authorities as they said adjacent areas have not been disconnected from the gas supply.
"We have already registered complaints to the society's office earlier but they did not bother to come across to solve the issue", said one of the protesters.
They said "Every time we are promised to work on the issue but nothing happened".
"Gas is not available throughout the day and we are unable even to cook the food", said Mrs Nabila Jamil a resident of the area adding that their kids are forced to take ready made breakfasts with them to their schools and after reaching back they again face the same problem for the lunch".
The concerned private administration of the area when contacted claimed that they are working to solve the issue for which they have asked the contractors to thoroughly check the supply lines.
"We have asked the contractor to check the supply lines and to repair or unblock the lines if they are found damaged or blocks".
The residents further said that they would take up the matter to the higher level if it is not solved early.
"Enough is enough and we will take the issue to bigwigs" they intimated.
They also complained that the issue was purely mis-management because they receive the gas supply at night time and also on weekends when CNG Stations are closed.
It is pertinent to mention that due the shortage of gas, CNG Fuel stations are facing closure of the supply twice in a week.
As per the load management, CNG Stations of Islamabad were kept open during last week and supply of the fuel was made available.
