HYDERABAD: The legal fraternity boycotted court proceedings, wore black arm bands and hoisted black flags on the court buildings and their offices here on Monday to condemn the NATO attack on Pakistani border troops.

The call was given by Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association.

Addressing a gathering Sindh High Court Bar Association's Hyderabad president Advocate Allah Bachayo Soomro, General Secretary Zahoor Baloch, President Hyderabad District Bar Association Nisar Durrani and other lawyer leaders expressed solidarity with the Pakistani Army and the families of the Shaheed soldiers.

They said the whole nation stands behind the army and would not tolerate any foreign aggression.

Separately, the lawyers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement's legal aid committee also protested against the NATO and the US outside the press club. Led by Advocate Shakeel Zai the protesters said they were ready to offer any sacrifice for the country on the directions of MQM's chief Altaf Hussain. (APP)
