KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday staged demonstrations in different parts of the country to mark its protest against widely condemned Nato strike on Pakistan military checkposts, Geo News reported.

Pakistan's flags were put on view at roundabouts, markets and buildings while national anthem was played under the auspices of MQM to show solidarity with Pak Army.

MQM leader and Deputy Convener of its Rabitta Committee, Dr. Farooq Sattar in his address at a programme held here at Nine Zero, said: "Every single child of the nation was ready to render any kind of sacrifice."

He said every Pakistani has vehemently condemned the Nato attack, adding 'today the country needed solidarity and unity like never before.'
