Robbers kill two women on resistance

MULTAN: Robbers looted the house of a customs inspector and killed his wife and mother-in-law when they put up resistance at Farrukh Town in Seetal Marri.

Seetal Marri SHO Bashir Haraj told APP that Customs Inspector Muhammad Ashraf Awan, a resident of Farrukh Town in Seetal Marri, had gone to Lahore to participate in the Raiwind moot and his wife Rasheeda Bibi (40) along with three children and her mother Sultana Bano (70) was at home.

On Tuesday, dacoits entered the house, took his wife and her mother hostage at gunpoint andtied them with rope. They looted cash, jewellery, and other valuables.

They killed his wife Rasheeda Bibi with repeated blows of a sharp-edged weapon and also killed Sultana Bano as they tried to resist them.

The dacoits fled with looted valuables.

Police are investigating. (APP)
