HYDERABAD: Deputy Registrar Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Zia Rasheed Abbasi has urged the business community to avail the e-filing and corporatization facilities offered by SECP.
Speaking at a seminar, organized in collaboration with Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI), the deputy registrar briefed the audience on company registration and company return filing.
"Through the SECP, a company's registration investment becomes safe but it does not occur in civil partnership," he underscored.
Quoting the Company's Act 1984 he apprised that the SECP registrar protects a company's documents and memorandum of articles of companies and that the liability of investment was limited in it.
"Once a company's registration investment becomes easy, other partners could be included in your company without difficulty," he added.
Abbassi said though the registration process was easy in SECP but through e-return filing and e-registration it had been made further easier.
"The SECP is registering the applicants within 48 hours while 50 percent fee was being charged for on line return filing," he told.
According to the deputy registrar, the aim of the seminar was to provide information to the business community about the procedures of company registration and e-return filing.
Taking advantage of this the business community could get maximum benefits from SECP laws, he added.
He informed that an application for registration could be sent from the company's office.
Senior Vice President HCCI Turab Ali Khowja speaking during the inaugural session of the seminar, termed the event a good opportunity for businessmen to learn the new procedures.
He expressed the hope that e-filing and e-registration would help promote their business.
"The SECP laws provide protection to the businesses," he acknowledged.Joint Registrar SECP Mohammad Naeem Khan gave briefing on e-filing, company registration and return.
N.S. Shah, Tanveer Arif, Rafiquddin, Javed Ahmed Khan, Vice President HCCI Abdul Saleem Arain, Ex-President Amad Siddiqui and others from the HCCI members also spoke on the occasion. (APP)
