BADIN: Even though three months have passed since the devastating rains struck Sindh, around 20 villages of Badin District are still submerged in one to six feet deep stagnant rainwater.
Villages including Goth Polyo Chandio, Durgah Shah Gario and others remain inundated. A large number of villagers staged a protest demo in front of Badin Press Club, demanding to resolve the issue on urgent basis.
The alleged that the administration is not cooperating with them, while the displaced people are kept in makeshift relief camps where severe paucity of food items torments them.
The protestors demanded of the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately order draining out of rainwater their locations while proper supply of ration to displace people be ensured.
