Pakistan will emerge as economic hub of Asia Pacific: Hasan Javed

PARIS: Ambassador to Germany Syed Hasan Javed on Thursday said German companies were taking interest in the Pakistani market and hoped that the country has strong potential to emerge as the business centre of Asia Pacific region.

Addressing the members of Economic Council of Germany’s ruling party, Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the Pakistani Ambassador to Germany said China’s investment of Rs.46 billion in the country will not only benefit the Pakistan but the whole region.

The Ambassador also briefed the members of CDU over the present economic situation of Pakistan and the natural and human resource potential.

The president of CDU’s Economic Council, Dr Nicholson thanked Pakistani Ambassador and Embassy for enhancing the knowledge of his team about Pakistan, saying the briefing highlighted the facts that were never covered by the media.

Responding to a question, Syed Hasan Javed had also shed light on Pak-India relationship and Pakistan’s efforts to curb religious extremism and terrorism.
