KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited (KESC) has restored the electricity to Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro residence, power utility’s spokesperson said.

The statement said: “Bill has been paid today, based on which the power to the law minister’s official residence has been reconnected”.

Electricity supply to the minister was disconnected due to non-payment.

According to KESC, the provincial law minister had not paid his electricity bill for four months and owes over Rs 300,000.

Earlier on Monday, Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro while speaking to reporters in Sukkur said electricity to his Karachi residence was disconnected despite the bills being paid.

Soomro added he would teach the KESC a lesson for disconnecting his electricity without any reason.
