MULTAN: Pakistan Railways Employees Union (PREM) on Wednesday staged a rally in front of the office of divisional superintendent and demanded a rehabilitation plan to be finalized in consultation with Railways workers.

The 'Rail Bachao Rally' led by Multan zonal president Rauf Rashid, vice presidents Mirza Mohammad Ali and Mubashir Hussain Shah, general secretary Faizaan Qureshi took its start from cantonment railway station Chowk and concluded at the DS office after passing through loco shed and platform. The railway employees also staged a sit-in there.

They also presented a resolution demanding that all TLA employees be regularized, five percent cut from salaries in case of utilization of two quarters be stopped, and traveling allowance be paid to employees. They also demanded transfer of Nasir, the charge man locoshed Multan.

Haji Maqsood, Nadeem Bhatti, Mohammad bashir, Rasheed Langah, Muzammil Hussain, Sagheer Ahmad, Niamat Shah, Mushtaq and Umair also spoke on the occasion.
