MASTUNG: Two Afghan refugees were killed as unknown armed men opened fire at their car near Mastung on Quetta-Karachi Highway Sunday evening.
Police said the victims Shamsuddin and Amanullah had been traveling to Quetta from Karachi and were targeted near the town. "The incident apparently seems to be a highway robbery bid as assailants chased the vehicle and opened fire when they find the prey fleeing", police said.
Police cordoned of the area besides alerting the officials at the check posts at exit point of the district about the culprits.
