LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Monday said President Asif Ali Zardari returned to Pakistan after talking to the Army Chief, Geo News reported.

Talking to media men outside the Punjab Assembly, Rana Sanaullah said the Prime Minister in his (PM's) presence arranged the telephonic conversation between the Army Chief and President.

President Asif Ali Zardari returned to Pakistan early Monday morning after getting medical treatment in Dubai and taking rest at his residence there.

The Punjab Minister said: "Taking extension in office tenure is no longer possible for anyone including DG ISI."

He said it was the manner in which the President left the country created doubts, adding Peoples' Party made his illness 'mysterious'.

He ruled out any back door understanding in the presence of independent judiciary. "The corrupt Zardari clique was making deals everywhere," he alleged.
