The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) on Tuesday announced that theMedical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test (MDCAT) questions circulating on the internet are fake.
PMC shared an example of the questions being circulated on the internet and wrote that "this is an example of messages being circulated on the internet falsely claiming to be questions from the MDCAT."
The commission warned students that the questions are not part of the "MDCAT exam question bank" and are being used by "miscreants" to mislead students and create panic.
PMC asked students to "not rely on such misleading posts while preparing for the MDCAT and focus on the syllabus."
The PMC further tweeted a notification clarifying student's questions regarding the MDCAT.
PMC wrote that students will have the option of skipping a question and attempting it later during the exam time, adding that students will also have the chance to review the already selected answers and revise them if needed.
PMC further clarified that the final score will only be given on the answers selected by the student when the exam concludes.
The body further wrote that all final answers selected before the exam time will be fully recorded and scored.
Regarding internet issues, PMC stated that the examination is not dependent on an open external internet connection, therefore, any issues with that will not hinder the exam.
MDCAT is scheduled till September 30.
