HYDERABAD: The District Police Hyderabad Friday chalked out a security plan in connection with the celebrations of the New Year 2012.

According to a press release, fool proof security plan has been prepared by the police officers on the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police Hyderabad Syed Asad Raza Shah.

Under the plan, police personnel will be put on high alert tomorrow afternoon till further orders. All Sub-Divisional Superintendents and Station House Officers will carry out snap checking on roads in their respective limitations and initiate action against those who found in any kind of firing.

A heavy police contingents will be deployed at Cantonment Shopping Centre Road, Saddar Bazaar to St: Marys' School, Latifabad Unit 1/3 7, Latifabad Units 7-8 chowk, Mujahid Chowk, Latifabad Unit-12 Road and Latifabad Units- 6-2 Road till Bhitai Chowk.

The police personnel will be deployed with directives to initiate prompt action against those who found involved in aerial firing and other criminal acts.

Besides checking at all bus terminals, railway stations and the points of external and internal routes, search will also be carried out at all hotels and guest houses of the district.

All shops located along the main roads of the district will be closed at 8 pm on the night of December 31 and one way traffic will be allowed from Gul Centre to Gymkhana Chowk and from Cantonment Shopping Centre to Nursery Chowk. Besides police personnel, Rangers will also be deployed at the sensitive areas of the district in order to maintain law and order.
