KARACHI: The funeral prayer of Askari Raza was offered outside the Governor House and his body was sent to Wadi-e-Hussain graveyard for burial, Geo News reported.

The protesters after seeing copy of FIR and offering prayers dispersed and ended 10-hour long sit-in outside the Governor House.

Earlier, case was registered against the accused while SSP CID Chaudhary Aslam was suspended following the orders of Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan.

SHO Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station was called in at the Governor House for registration of FIR.

The Governor issued these orders in a meeting held with six-member negotiating team of Fiqah-e-Jafria leaders at Governor House late Sunday night. Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly, PPP leader Faisal Raza Abidi and IG Sindh were also present.

President Asif Ali Zardari also telephoned the negotiating team and assured them for justice.

Sindh Governor also announced Rs.1 million compensation for the heirs of slain Askari Raza.

Meanwhile, a judicial commission has also been constituted to probe into the matter.

It may be noted here that unknown gunmen gunned down Askari Raza on Saturday. He was the president of Pasban-e-Jafria.
