Lal Masjid Case: Abpara police officer show-caused

RAWALPINDI: A show-cause letter have been issued to SHO Abpara Police Station for failing to produce witnesses in the court of law in Lal Masjid Khatib Moulana Aziz vs State case, in which Aziz & Family was charged with Rnagers personnel, Geo News reported.

An Anti Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi heard the case here on Wednesday.

The prosecution, even on this hearing, could not bring anyone to the witness stand, upon which the honorable court launched a show-cause notice ordering SHO Abpara Police Station to produce witnesses on the next hearing no matter what.

The accused, Noor Mohammad, also missed the hearing, but the court accepted his plea exempting him from appearing before the court.

The next hearing has been set for January 11, 2011.
