QUETTA: QESCO Chief Engineer Operations Balochistan Engineer Akbar Shah on Thursday said that an amount of Rs46 billion was outstanding against various public and private entities in Balochistan.
Talking to APP, he added that out of the total an amount of Rs32 billion was outstanding against growers and Rs6 billion against various public departments.
He said that the federal cabinet withdrew the subsidy announced by Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani for growers of Balochistan adding that growers now have to pay their charges on monthly basis.
He hinted action against illegal tubewells which he numbered to around 4,000 and said that these illegal tubewells were actually causing issues of low voltage and power load shedding.
