Two shopkeepers fined for profiteering

FAISALABAD: Two shopkeepers were fined on charge of profiteering and not displaying rate lists.

According to a spokesman of City District Government (CDG), Riaz Husain Anjum, a special price control magistrate, raided Awami Colony and found milk sellers Muhammad Tahir and Muhammad Waqqas involved in overcharging.

The shopkeepers also failed to display rate lists at conspicuous places in their shops.

They were fined Rs 5,000 and warned that they would be sent behind bars if they committed the offence again. (APP)
