ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 25 persons from various areas of the city for their alleged involvement in drug peddling, theft cases and recovered 2.715 kilogram hashish, heroin and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Friday.
According to details, Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Ishaq, Abid Khan and ASI Nasir Manzoor arrested three persons Awais, Adnan and Zulfiqat Ali and recovered two wine bottles and a pistol from their possession. ASI Muhammad Nadeem from Kohsar police apprehended Farahan for having a bottle of wine while ASI Muhammad Iqbal from Golra police nabbed Mehboob ur Rehman for possessing 30 bore pistol.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zameer from Sabzi Mandi police nabbed Saeed Ashraf for having 106 gram heroin. Sub-Inspector Anar from Siahal police stopped a car (PRP-4705) for checking near 'Kortana' and recovered 2.715 kilogram hashish.
The car occupants managed to escape from the scene after abandoning the car while he also arrested a thief Kashif besides recovering stolen cash and gold ornaments from him.
On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar from Margallah police raided at House No.156, Street No.3, Sector G-8./2 after getting search warrant and arrested 18 persons including seven women for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.
The nabbed persons are identified as Pervez, Siddique, Naveed, Kiran, Waheed Gul, Aman, Bushra, Sobia, Rafique, Ayesha, Shahid, Ejaz, Kiran, Fazal Wahid, Jameel, Habib, Maria, Tabia and Bani Akbar.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way from them. (APP)
