KARACHI: Pakistan has freed 179 Indian fishermen and one civilian from Karachi’s Landhi Jail as a goodwill gesture on the new year, Geo News reported Saturday.
According to sources, the freed fishermen will reach Lahore from where they will be handed over to Indian authority at Wagha Border on Sunday.
There are still 276 fishermen held in Pakistani jails while more than 480 boats are in Pakistan custody.
