QUETTA: Under the auspices of Pakistan Nurses Federation Balochistan chapter, hundreds of nurse took out rally to protest not acceptance of their demands.

The rally led by PNFB leaders Muhammad Saleem Hassni, Riaz Louise, Noor Ahmed Sarpara and others started from Bolan Medical College hospital and marched on city roads.

Addressing the rally, the PNFB leaders said that over 800 nurses had been serving patients at government hospitals in Balochistan adding that but there service structure was not formed since last 50 years.

They regretted that student nurses despite discharging duties at hospitals were being given only Rs4000 monthly stipend in the province in comparison with other provinces where they were being given Rs11000.

They demanded issuance of notification for promoting nurses on seniority basis besides creating more posts of charge nurse, head nurse and tutor nurse. They also demanded enhancement in salaries and allowances of nurses. (APP)
