Motorway police recover a stolen vehicle, thief killed

RAWALPINDI: National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) North Zone Kamra has recovered a stolen vehicle here on Thursday. As per detail, Motorway police was informed by Rawalpindi Control that a vehicle no LRY 5570 had been stolen from the Banni area.

Motorway police informed all the mobile vehicles on Wednesday night about the theft.

The Motorway police signaled a suspicious vehicle it to stop but the driver sped away.

Meanwhile, the driver opened fire on chasing police vehicle who return the fire resulting in the stolen car hitting a pool injuring the driver who was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

DIG North Abbas Hussain Malik and SSP Muhammad Saeed Wazir appreciated the effort of the police party and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for them.
