PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for livestock and Cooperatives Haji Hidayat Ullah Khan on Sunday said that developmental projects along with some new projects would be completed on priority basis.
This he said while addressing at a public meeting during the foundation stone laying ceremony of Badin Bridge at Jandool, District Dir Lower.
The ceremony was attended by ANP District President Hussain Shah Khan Yusufzai, government officials and large number of ANP workers and people from different walks of life. Haji Hidyatullah Khan said that the Badin Bridge would be completed at a cost of Rs 14 million. He said that it was a long awaited demand of the people of the area and the construction of the Badin Bridge would facilitate the people of Shurtala, Jampa Khazana, Badin, Landheri and other adjacent areas.
Provincial Minister Haji Hidayatullah Khan said that the government has taken many steps for the development of the area but due to insurgency and militancy, the work on many projects has been halted for a short period, but now after restoration of peace all the remaining such projects would be completed on priority basis so that to facilitate the people at their doorstep.
The minister also announced construction of two extra rooms in the Government Girls Primary School Badin. He assured that the shortage of teaching staff in the Government Girls High School Badin would be taken with the concerned department to save the precious time of the students.
The minister said that land has already been acquired for the construction of Jandool Grid Station to facilitate the people of the area with electricity.
To provide gas facility to the people of the area, the minister said that funds have already been allocated and work on the survey would be started soon. He said that government has taken efforts in solving the problems being faced by the people of Malakand division. (APP)
