CCPO warns cops to treat Afghan refugees well

QUETTA: CCPO Quetta Ahsan Mehboob has directed the police officials to hold meeting with the elders of Aghan refugees and look into the complaints of alleged maltreatment of police with refugees.

Head of Afghan refugees in Balochistan Taadin Tarakai told media that, he along with other elders of the refugees called on CCPO Quetta to discuss with him the problems faced by the refugees in the province.

CCPO taking the notice of the issue directed the officials concerned to hold meeting with the elders of Afghan refugees and settle down the issue of alleged ill-behavior of police with the refugees on all entry and exit points, he said.

Tarakai alleged that police had made it their practice to tease Afghan refugees on the pretext of checking them at police pickets and check post. (APP)
