Man tortured to death

LAHORE: The family and area people staged a protest demonstration against CIA Ghaziabad police, who allegedly tortured to death a father of nine children.

A large number of people, including women, participated in the protest held infornt of the Lahore Press Club on Wednesday.

The protestors blocked the road by putting the body on the road and chanted slogans against police.

The protestors alleged that the deceased- Niamat Ali alias Bao-of Nathoki village of Hadiara, was arrested by Shakeel Butt, SHO CIA Police Ghaziabad some days ago. He was tortured and when his condition deteriorated he was handed over to his family but he died before reaching hospital, they added.
