KANO: Coordinated bomb blasts and gun battles in Nigeria's second-largest city of Kano have left at least 121 people dead, a Red Cross source said on Saturday.

"Many agencies are involved in the evacuation of corpses from the streets," the source said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak publicly following Friday night's attacks. "From our tally, we have 121 so far." (AFP)
