One cop killed, 4 injured in attacks

PESHAWAR: At least four policemen were injured when their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in Ajab Bagh area in Nowshera on Monday while one policeman was killed by the firing of unknown miscreants in Mardan district, local police said.

A remote-controlled bomb planted to a bridge exploded when a police van was passing by the area. The bridge was also damaged after the blast.

The injured were shifted to hospital. Police has cordoned off the area and initiated investigation.

Separately, a police official was killed and another injured by the firing of unknown miscreants in Par Hoti area of Mardan district, the police said. (APP)
