Gold price soars by Rs1500 per tola

KARACHI: Gold price on Thursday registered a whopping increase of Rs1500 per tola in local markets after the yellow metal grew expensive by 57 dollars to Rs1716 per ounce internationally, Geo News reported.

According to President All Sindh Sarafa Association, Haji Haroon Rasheed Chand the local gold price jumped to Rs57900 per tola after witnessing a hike of Rs1500.

Similarly, the rate of 10 grams gold shot up by Rs1286 to Rs49628.

Haji Haroon Rasheed Chand hike in gold price in international market led to the staggering rise in the commodity's local rate.

He further said only a decline in the international rates would ease the price in the local market.
